Tesla founder wants within four years of brain to computer link
Tesla founder Elon Musk wants his company Neuralink within four years the human brain to attach to computers.
That tells Musk in an interview with Wait But Why.
By the brains of people with computers to link, want Musk to help in the treatment of serious brain damage caused for example by strokes.
Musk wants to with computers easier for people to communicate. “At the moment, you have ideas in your head that your brain has to compress to a fairly simple data to be able to speak or type,” says Musk. “If you have a second interface for your brain, you can get ideas from uncompressed parts.”
Although Musk within four years, the brains of people with brain damage to link, it will take even longer, until the average user can do this. The techondernemer think that this is still between eight and ten years.
Musk is the head of carmaker Tesla and ruimtebedrijf SpaceX. In addition, he is an initiator of the fast train Hyperloop, which other companies will be developed.
