Tesla delivers first China-made Model of a 3 way in a little less than a year

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – Tesla began delivery of the Model 3 electric car, constructed in a factory in Shanghai, which is just under a year ago, it began work on the $2 billion plant, a new record for global car makers in China, said it would increase the supply of the following month.

The U.S. electric-car maker is marking the launch with an event on Monday, with a 15 Tesla employees have had cars that they had purchased, one of which is an opportunity to make a marriage proposal to his girlfriend, after the publication of a new set of wheels.

In China, General Manager of the Silicon Valley automobile company, Wang Hao said, Tesla is planning to invest in a Model 3 for delivery in January.

The Chinese government is in favour of the plant, the first wholly foreign-owned car factory, and as a reflection of Beijing’s broader shift to open up the car market.


Tesla has taken a different approach to the Chinese market, the biggest one for electric vehicles, with 1.3 million new-energy vehicles were sold last year, according to the marketing and promotion in the country, which is very different than anywhere else.

The group’s flamboyant billionaire CEO, Elon Musk, is openly in contempt for marketing, but also in China, Tesla offered a race-themed events and sales parties.

It is also in the building of service centers and charging stations all over China to meet with the customer to ensure that the standardized after-sales service, Tesla’s senior executives said, confirming a Reuters report on the plan published last month.

The auto manufacturer will double the number of service centers, and fast-charging stations in China next year, and plans to more than double the amount of the after-sales employees, of which 1,500 600 at the moment, the board of directors will be added.

Wang also told reporters that the plant will reach a production goal of 1,000 units per week, equivalent to 280 cars per day, and that the sales of China-made sedan, and had, so far, is a “very good”.
