Tennessee woman charged with murder after her newborn twins die of a drug in their system, the report said

A Tennessee woman was on Tuesday arrested and charged with first-degree murder after her twin, who was born days earlier, with the use of drugs in their system died in the hospital.

Tiffany Marie Roberts, 29, of Chattanooga, Tenn., it was also in charge of the viable fetus as a crime victim and aggravated child abuse or neglect in connection with her child in the children’s deaths.

Roberts tested positive for drugs in her system, including cocaine, oxycodone, Roxicodone, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine drugs, and on three separate occasions, and when she went to the doctor for a check-up, while she was still a child, court documents said.

Tiffany Marie Roberts, 29, faces several charges, including that of the firs-degree murder, and after the birth of the twins, with the use of drugs in their systems.

Roberts is also reportedly admitted to the use of ecstasy is on the same day her twins were born, the arrest affidavit said. Both babies died two days later at the Children’s Hospital, Fox Houston reported.

The woman also tested positive for several drugs, including cocaine, at the time the twins were born, court documents said.
