A Tennessee man was shot and killed with his own gun by the thief who stole the gun out of his vehicle, police said on Thursday.

The police said that the shooting happened in an apartment complex parking lot just before midnight on Saturday.

She said the victim saw the light of day in his Chevy Camero, and the two men are rummaging through the back of the car. The victim confronted one of the men on the driver’s side of the vehicle, and secured him in the car, police said, adding that he was looking at the center console for his pistol and saw it was gone.

While the victim was struggling with one of the men, the other man came around the side of the car and shot him in the foot, police said.
