Tennessee man accused of the beating of a blind, homeless man to death with a fire extinguisher in the bus station

A man was arrested for the murder early Monday after allegedly using a fire extinguisher to beat up a blind, homeless man to death in a parking lot of a Nashville, Tenn., the bus station is.

Brandon Brown, 32, was charged with criminal homicide after a 49-year-old man who was found beaten to death in the WeGo’s Central location in the Music City Central Bus Station. The identity of the man who was killed has yet to be released by the Nashville Metro Police department. He was believed to be blind, and the homeless.

The police at first responded to the bus station at 2 in the morning where they have the Brown blood on his shirt and a cut above one eye. He was transported to Metro General Hospital for treatment, police said. He did not tell officers how he was injured, FOX 17 in Nashville has been reported.

It wasn’t until about 5:30 a.m. when a security staff member, a man beaten to death on the fifth floor of the parking garage, investigators said. Investigators determined the gun used to kill him was a fire extinguisher.

The police returned to the hospital in order to question, Brown, but, as he had already been released. Officers later spotted him on a street in the neighborhood, and took him into custody. He was arrested and charged after him in the murder during a police interview, according to investigators. The motive is still unclear at this point in the investigation, according to police.

He was being held on $1.2 million bond, The Tennessean of Nashville reported.
