Tele2 are more pessimistic about future in the Netherlands
Tele2 sees his future in the Netherlands are more pessimistic. The company has a large depreciation done on the Dutch activities and was, therefore, a significant loss.
The depreciation amounted to almost 2.5 billion krone, converted more than 250 million euros, it emerged on Thursday from the figures for the third quarter (pdf).
The accounting transaction, which is mandatory in the third quarter numbers had to be processed, came to Tele2 under the dash almost 2.3 billion crown (237 million euro) deficit. In the same period of the previous year was a profit of only 40 million euros written in the books.
Tele2 does not give details about the depreciation and the expected performance in the next few years. The past few years has the provider invested heavily in its own 4G network, but the number of customers that make use of them, is still far behind on the number of customers of competitors, KPN, Vodafone and T-Mobile.
In the Netherlands, and turned to Tele2 in the third quarter a brutoverlies of only 18 million euros, more than twice as much as a year earlier. As a result of an extensive marketing campaign, the company got there 59.000 mobile customers, for a total of just under million.
Won Tele2 in the Netherlands net four thousand broadband customers. The turnover of end-users grew in the Netherlands with 15 percent.
Tele2 succeeded worldwide in its turnover to expand. This increased by 3 percent to about 7 billion krona (€7.2 billion). Tele2 is positive about the operational performance of the company. Thus, the operating profit in the Baltic states and Kazakhstan is considerably ahead.
