Teen pleads not guilty to murder charges in wife’s killing

URBANA, Ohio – A 15-year-old Ohio boy charged as an adult in the killing of his father ‘ s old girlfriend has pleaded not guilty and not guilty because of insanity to aggravated murder and murder charges.

Donovan Nicholas entered the pleas on Tuesday in Champaign County Court of Common pleas. He was 14 on 6 April, when the authorities claim that he killed Heidi Fay Taylor. He told a 911 dispatcher with an alternative personality stabbed and shot Taylor in the house that she shared with him and his father in the Mad River Township.

Nicholas’ lawyer says a psychologist has said that he believes that the teenager has multiple personalities.

The judge has ordered a psychological exam for the boy, because of the insanity plea. The right bond at $700,000.
