Tech Q&A: Checking in on hackers, integration of your networks

Integration of your networks

Q: What is a network? I heard you say on your show that you installed in your house and now you have no more dead zones!

A: Mesh networks make use of cutting-edge technology to improve the Wi-Fi in your home or business. They work because they use two or three separate units. If you’ve even considered a network extender setup, you will see how much easier a mesh network to extend the range of your Wi-Fi. Your devices are less likely to stop with the connection, and the signal will almost certainly be stronger. There is one disadvantage, as with all new gadgets introduced on the market. Review on hackers

Q: With all the news about e-mail phishing, is there a way to check if my information is stolen?

A: We often talk about cybersecurity, and how many threats are lurking out there on the web, but is it not possible that we have already been compromised? How can we know that? Hackers could wait for weeks or even years to use that information against us. It is unlikely that they are going to get in touch and tell us how much personal data they have stolen. Fortunately, there is a website, which gives you a pretty good idea of which accounts may have been hacked. You may be surprised. Click here to verify your e-mail has been hacked.
