Taliban shows video of captive American born children
The Taliban has Monday night to a video released of a 2012 kidnapped American-Canadian couple and their two sons in captivity are born.
The Canadian Joshua Boyle and the American Caitlan Coleman are being held by the Haqqani network, which has close ties with the Taliban. Coleman was pregnant when the couple in 2012 in Afghanistan during a holiday, was kidnapped.
In that video begs Coleman for an end to their “nightmare” and criticizing both the American and the Canadian government and their captors.
“We understand that both sides hate us and it fine to put us in this situation. We can only pray that someone the atrocities that are being done to us recognizes,” said Coleman in the video.
The two boys and their parents saw in the video healthy, according to Reuters news agency. Haqqani is demanding the release of three of their members. “They want money, power and their friends back. Only then can progress be,” said Coleman in the video.
The Canadian government calls for the immediate unconditional release of the couple. The U.s. government has not yet responded.
