Talent Nyck de Vries exchanges right in Formula 2-season of team
Racetalent Nyck de Vries will drive the rest of the Formula 2 season for the team Racing Engineering. The 22-year-old Dutchman comes from Rapax.
“This transfer is perhaps a surprise in the middle of the season, but I’m really looking forward to Spa for the Racing Engineering to come,” responds De Vries Wednesday at the site of the Spanish team.
“We’ve been in business since 2015 contact with each other and it is great that I now finally this team can go together. I hope we get the momentum back and the success can achieve that, this team always has had.”
De Vries takes the seat of the Swiss Louis Delétraz, who was just leaving for Rapax.

The Frisian driver, which is part of the talentenprogramma of McLaren, is now finished his debut season in the Formula 2. At the end of may, he won in Monaco, his first race in this class.
De Vries ended last month in addition to two times as the third in the races in Hungary.
Racing Engineering runs up to now a less season. The Spanish team is eighth in the constructeursstand with 29 points, while the Italian Rapax 106 points.
Racing Engineering was this year one time on stage. The Swede Gustav Malja, the new teammate of De Vries, was third in the second race in Monaco.
This coming weekend at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium to the fifteenth and sixteenth race of the Formula 2 season. Then there are Grand Prix weekends at Monza, in Spain and in Abu Dhabi.
