Taiwan had to recall 200,000 of the incorrect passport.
Taiwan is the call of passports that have mistakenly featured an image from Washington Dulles Airport — Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The misprinted passport started distributing last week, and the mistake was pointed out on the social media network Weibo on Monday. Tuesday, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, acknowledged the error and recalled the 285 passports that are already issued to Taiwanese citizens.
In total, 200,000 copies of the book passport, had already been printed, that the Taiwanese government will destroy.

The ministry apologized for the misprint, to say that one of the passport of the designers had accidentally selected the wrong airport image. In the designer of the defense, the architects behind Taoyuan Airport Terminal were said to have been inspired by Eero Saarinen to design Dulles Airport.

The ministry will reprint of 200,000 passports with a new design. The Central News Agency reported that the new documents should be ready by the end of January 2018; the candidates are waiting for the passports in the meantime, will receive the first generation e-passports, the Ministry is still in stock.
MOFA had issued a reprint of the e-passports, for increased security measures. The new passports have included a third photo of the passport holder, a metal substrate, topography and the background images of “monuments and cultural habits, all of the symbol of a dynamic Taiwan,” said the ministry.
