Swiss skier Gisin may intensive care after serious fall

Marc Gisin has the intensive care unit of the hospital on Friday allowed to leave. The Zwisterse skier came last week heavy fall.

The 30-year-old Gisin, it was last Wednesday in the hospital of Lucerne, had surgery and moved Friday to a regular hospital bed, reports the Swiss skifederatie.

Gisin became unconscious due to a crash during the descent of the Italian Val Gardena. The brother of the olympic champions Dominique and Michelle, who three years ago brain injury suffered after a fall in Kitzbühel, with a trauma helicopter to a hospital in Switzerland.

It turned out his injuries. He had several ribs broken and with it his lungs damaged. Therefore, he was on the artificial ventilators.

How long is the skier in the hospital, is not yet known.
