Suspicious attack in Istanbul indicted
The suspect of the terrorist attack in the new year’s eve at the Club Reina in Istanbul is Saturday indicted. Abdulgadir Masharipov is according to Turkish state media among others, was suspected of membership of an armed terrorist organisation, multiple murders, and the possession of heavy weapons.
Masharipov, alias Abu Mohammed Khurasani, was after the bloody attack for weeks from the hands of the authorities. The police arrested the terreurverdachte in mid-January in Istanbul. He seemed to come from Uzbekistan, and would have acted in behalf of Islamic State.
The Turkish authorities, according to state news agency Anadolu also came into action against other terrorist suspects. A Swede and a Dane have been arrested in the city of Adana. They would in Syria are trained in the use of explosives and weapons and are suspected of preparing attacks in Europe, reported the state news agency Saturday.
