Suspected bank robber has been found dead in a Southern California bank, and after firing at officers

A suspected bank robber was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Chase Bank in Colton, Calif., to the east of Los Angeles, after a SWAT team entered Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to a silent alarm at the bank and were fired by the suspect.

One officer suffered a minor injury, possibly from broken glass.

The police have surrounded the bank, and in turn, the surrounding shopping area is on lockdown while the suspect is to shoot at it.

Everyone in the room was able to safely evacuate.

The bank was closed at the time of the incident.
