A Massachusetts man, from whom the police spotted outside a house, as he’s on top of a woman and repeatedly stabbing her, suddenly died after being arrested Thursday night, according to reports.

The man, identified as Erich Stelzer, 25, of Cohasset, reportedly died on way to hospital, after police used a stun gun in an attempt to subdue him, Norfolk district Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office said in a statement Friday.

The woman had suffered “extensive stabbing and cutting injuries,” the statement said. Prosecutors said she managed to escape from Stelzer and medical treatment, the Boston Globe.

Details of her medical condition were not immediately available, and her name is not made known, according to the whole World.

“It really is a sad thing,” neighbor Ian Lyster told the Patriot-Ledger of Quincy, Mass. “It is really good that the police were able to stop right in front of the woman [would be] killed.”

Stelzer had an encounter with the 24-year-old woman using the Tinder dating app, the FOX affiliate in Boston 25 News reported.

Cohasset police arrived at a Church Street home after receiving a call about a “disturbance” around 10 a.m. Thursday, the FOX station reported.

The police dealt with the matter properly, Cohasset police chief William Quigley told the Patriot-Ledger of Quincy, Mass.

“I am proud of the work that the officers did,” Chief Quigley said. “Although it is very sad that someone lost their life, my officers did a great job given the circumstances.”

A source told the FOX station that Stelzer lived with his mother, who was worried about her son’s mental health.

Meanwhile, Stelzer father claimed in a Facebook post that the police do not tell the whole story about his son’s death, the Boston Globe.

“My Son. Killed by the Police. Here comes the cover up,” Harry Stelzer wrote, according to the whole World.

“There was a [violent] confrontation in his house last nite,” the father Friday post remained. “The police came and tased him 4 times. 4 times. He died on the way to the hospital. 25 years old. He was my life. This is not over. Let me should bury my dead out, and then the show begins. Rest In Peace my son. Love you for always. I’m hurt.”

Authorities say an autopsy will determine the cause of Stelzer’s death. The research is continued, the district attorney’s office statement said.
