Suspect arrested, others sought in the Washington state high school shooting

A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody, while two other suspects remained at large Tuesday night in connection with the shooting of two students outside a high school, police in Graham, Wash., said.

The Pierce County Sherriff’s Department released images on Twitter of the two suspects believed to be involved in a Tuesday afternoon shooting, in which two 16-year-old male students injured, just outside of Graham-Kapowsin high School, Seattle, Q13 Fox reported.

Graham, with a population of about 8,700 people, located about 20 miles southeast of Tacoma.

The police shared an image of a green Chevy Impala, which was supposed to be a getaway car.

Although the shooting was believed to have taken place out of school, one victim was found in a parking lot near the school football field and the other is found in a dressing room, police said.

The deputies have received information that indicates the shooting occurred just out of school, the victims ran back to GKHS campus after being shot. Victims transported to Tacoma General Hospital. Shooting may be gang-related.

Both injured students were transported to Tacoma General Hospital.

Police still looking for information to identify the second suspect seen in the photo.
