Suspect arrested following car-shop shooting leaves 2 dead

A Florida man was held on $100,000 bond Thursday night after a shooting at an auto body shop that left two men dead.

One victim was a cousin of the suspect, while the other was an engineer who was working at the Pembroke Park and shop, the Miami Herald reported.

The defendant and another brother were wounded in the shooting, according to the report.

The suspect, identified as Jemar Reid, 22, was displayed in the store, and a number of other people at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the confrontation with the engineer for any reason whatsoever, the newspaper reported.

An argument broke out, which led to the gunfire.

Much of the warrant for Reed was drafted, so a lot of the details of the case remain unknown, the Herald reported. Reid was charged with homicide, according to the report.

The engineer was identified as Dwayne Lynch, 31.

After the shooting, Reid, and his two brothers went to a Broward Sheriff’s Office substation, where the delegates first aid to and contact with healthcare workers, a South Florida-WTVJ-TV reported.

The two brothers were then taken to a hospital, where one of them died, according to the station.
