A former substitute teacher at an Ohio school district is accused of having inappropriate sexual relationships with two students, including a 14-year-old boy.
Darci L. More, 23, pleaded not guilty to nine counts of sexual battery on Wednesday. She faces a maximum of five years in prison for each count.
According to the court documents, the Lake was a substitute teacher Maysville Local Schools in the near Zanesville when they began sexual relationships with two students.
The police said was 16 years old and was 14 years old when the offences began as early as Yesterday. 1, 2017. They continued through Nov. 1, 2017.
The two students are now 17 and 15 years old.
More, who was 22 at the time when the facts started, was arrested on Dec. 21 and posted a $200,000 bond the same day.
Maysville Superintendent Ruth Zitnik told the Zanesville Times Recorder that the Lake was hired by Renhill Group, a company that has staff quarters for temporary teachers in the entire state. They said that the Lake was no longer a contract with the Maysville.
Barrie Howell, president of Renhill Group, told the newspaper in an e-mail that the More redundancies in the company. He said prior to the date, the More of the state-required background came back clear.
More graduated from Maysville High School in 2012.
