A Washington state school bus driver was arrested after falling out of a 10-year-old student who called 911 and said, “she’s drunk,” according to the report.
Catherine Maccarone, 48, was pulled over by the police after the boy’s call, Sept. 12. She was given a breathalyzer test and charged with driving under the influence, and reckless endangering, KGW-TV reported on Saturday.
“Umm, yes, hello, my mother has not to speak, because they don’t speak English, but we just got out of the bus, me and my friend,” the fifth-grader, is heard telling the 911 operator, according to the station. “And the number 8, there has been a bus driver, and Catherine, she was drunk.”

He asked me how he could tell, the boy replied, “in Her eyes, you could tell that she was drunk. Her breath kind of smelled like alcohol,” according to the station.
Police said her blood-alcohol content was a little more than a .09, above the legal limit, the station reported.
Maccarone, two runs on the afternoon to fall to about 90 students, the station reported.

Longview’s Public Schools in a statement on Friday saying that Maccarone was on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

“We are very thankful for all of our students arrived home safely,” Superintendent Dan Zorn said.
