MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama-president says a student has been suspended for the hanging of the two loops on the campus and a cafeteria employee is fired for an insensitive tweet, which said that it is a sign of their “killer” fried chicken.
University President Tony Waldrop said in a Wednesday night statement that the student was suspended after admitting to hanging two loops and a bike in a tree on the campus. The student is faced with a discipline hearing.
Waldrop said an employee of the university and food service provider was fired for an “offensive tweet” about the situation.
The employee wrote on the university dining service is the official twitter account that the rope was just a sign that “our food is KILLER! Come get some fried chicken and tell us another!”
The food vendor offered his apologies.
