Stranded tourists from islands in Indian Ocean taken
With ships and helicopters to rescue personnel in a few days nearly 3000 tourists from islands in the Indian Ocean met.
Due to the bad weather were the travellers since Monday on the islands of the Andaman and Nicobaren.
“All the tourists are brought to safety”, reported the chief of the regional disaster relief Saturday. The area affected by the storm Vardah.
Under the 2775 evacuated tourists are around 350 foreigners, among whom Germans, Italians and Russians. The archipelago belongs to India, and consists of some 500 islands.
