Steve Hayes, Editor-in-chief of the Weekly Standard, spoke on Thursday on “special report with Bret Baier” that the Trump is management under a totally new approach to the threat from Iran.
“The trump administration will view Iran as a threat, and views on the nuclear program, a view on the issue of terrorism, to what it does in the region,” Hayes said. “Think of the Obama administration, this deliberate policy of decoupling of the nuclear talks from the Iran he had not decided. That happens no longer belongs to Rex Tillerson, the comments of yesterday, which you have heard from other people in the administration, this is over.”
Trump has promised to take a look on Iran nuclear deal the Obama administration. But Hayes said the trump administration sends mixed messages.
“The reason for this is Iran, as part of this deal is the thing that got the rewards for the deal early on and now it comes to compliance,” said Hayes. “So, if the management tears up the deal, Iran has already much of what it took to sign the offer and the United States and the people would keep Iran always want to test a nuclear weapon now in compliance.”
