Statue Audrey Hepburn moved to Brussels
A statue of film star Audrey Hepburn moves from the Swiss village of Tolochenaz, to Belgium. It comes to stand in the street where the actress (1929 – 1993) was born, the Keienveldstraat in the Brussels municipality of Ixelles.
Hepburns son, and of the Swiss municipality are in favour of the move, says councillor Nathalie Gilson of Ixelles. “A brilliant opportunity.’”
When the image is moved and who the transport will pay is still unclear.
Hepburn lived the first nine years of her life in the Keienveldstraat. Last week it was announced that a square in Arnhem to her is named. The British actress lived during the Second world War in the Dutch city.
