Starboard nominates minority slate of directors to the eBay board: WSJ

(Reuters) – Activist-investor Starboard Value LP has nominated a minority slate of directors of eBay Inc. ‘ s board, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The family has been nominated for the slate of directors and most recently, the report said, adding that if the two parties fail to reach a settlement is reached, the three nominees for election at the annual general meeting held in the month of June.

The starboard side is referred to as the on-line marketplace in the last month for the sale of its advertising business, on the ground that it has not been enough progress in order to increase shareholder value.

Both on eBay, and the Port does not immediately respond to Reuters ‘ request for comment.
