There’s nothing like a good blaster at your side. “Star Wars Battlefront II, the latest addition to the popular video game franchise, again brings players into the perspective of their favorite series.

Recently fans have been at war with the game’s loot system and other things. Without that in the game, let’s take a look at the other factors and focus on the actual game itself.

The campaign was short and powerful, to say the least. Having a real plot and missions that differ from the multiplayer maps was a nice surprise. The game follows the Commander Iden Version of the story, as he breaks free from imprisonment and escapes the base. It may be lacking in good storytelling, or the intensity, but the game is definitely fun to play through.

“Star Wars Battlefront II” was published by Electronic Arts and developed by EA DICE, Motif Studios and Criterion Software.

The recently released video game offers an action-packed multiplayer experience: you could find yourself in a galactic dogfight in space, or fall the ON-TO during a battle on Hoth. Teams are typically made by 20 people or more, so gunfights and explosions are constant through the different cards. Add in the random heroes, what you get is a continuous sense of danger.

As soon as you’re up against a hero, you shouldn’t expect to make it out alive.

Online players are allowed to customize their classes, which are assault, sniper, heavy and support. Each class comes with unique abilities and weapons, so it’s easy to find one that best suits you and adapt.

All the weapons feel balanced and not a specific person is much stronger than the other. As a team based objective game, many factors have a role to play to be dishonest.

“Star Wars Battlefront II” also offers an arcade mode for players to earn in-game money or play local multiplayer, but that is not all what it used to be — it can be completed within 30 minutes, and then the only thing that remains is the difficulty increase. It is almost as if random content was thrown together for no reason.

In the older series, the players were able to select a card and to take over the galaxy. All we have now is five-minutes-cards with a just-as-long loading screen.

Verdict: 7/10

“Star Wars Battlefront II” hits some major nostalgia of the story the main cinematics and space combat. The story element is very what makes this different than the previous title, and I was surprised that it is as unique as it was. The online multiplayer option was exactly as expected, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In addition to the arcade mode is just a random mode is completed, the game is still fun.
