Stands Arena from 2018 in club colours and Ajax

The stands in the Arena are from the beginning of 2018, the club colours of Ajax, reported the Amsterdam club Friday.
Since the opening of the Arena in 1996, the colors of the chairs on bleachers, blue, green, orange, and red. These are the coming year is phases are replaced by red and white chairs.
The first 4.000 seats are in the winter break at the turn. Then will between races and other events through the rest of the stadionstoelen to be replaced. It is intended that in January 2018 all 53.502 seats are replaced.
In the new design is a Ajax great on the stands written, as in the previous stadium, The Lake, even though it was. In the corners are the three Andreaskruizen of the city.

Van der Sar
General director Edwin van der Sar is proud of the new design. “The way the letters Ajax in the stands are processed immediately creates More thinking. I have great memories, and that is true not only for me but for a lot of Players,” said Van der Sar on the website of the club.
According to the ex-goalkeeper is the Arena in recent years more and more of a Ajax-stadium. “That went step-by-step, each with certain adjustments. That are in terms of impact does not compare with this stoelenplan, because the total image of the inside of the stadium change.”

Replacing the seats is not the only change of the Arena in the coming years. Last year it was already announced that the tracks on the second ring to widen and also the facade a new look. There is also space for additional lifts, toilets, cateringpunten and escalators.
Henk Markerink, director of the Arena, stresses that the new design in conjunction with Ajax came to be. “We come up with the design to meet a long-cherished supporterswens to the stadium more of an Ajax look and feel,” says Markerink.
“This also fits with the close relationship that we have with the club. Also the view of the Amsterdam Andreaskruizen in the corners of the second ring are in line with our position as one of the most iconic buildings in Amsterdam.”
