Stamp sheetlet featuring artwork from the Museum Voorlinden released
Eight works of art from the collection of the museum Voorlinden, and two nature pictures are shown on the Monday by PostNL released stamp sheet, about the museum.
In cooperation with PostNL and designer Gerard Hadders, chose the museum, the images of thousands of works of art that Voorlinden in his possession.
“There is a number of hard work from our collection, which is a spot on the sheet earned. The Couple under an Umbrella by Ron Mueck is one of those, partly because of the important role that the changing seasons have in our museum,” explains Voorlinden director Suzanne Swarts.
“The changing seasons of the year, you can see it clockwise also on the stamp sheet: the summer strandtafereel at the top left, through the autumn, with the autumn leaves, the winter with the snowflakes and the spring with the bee,” says Swarts.
The designer of the stamps, Gerard Hadders, wanted to make the stamps show what is the role daylight has to be as the relationship between the inside and the outside of the museum Voorlinden.
The postzegelserie is from the 17th of July available in the shop of the museum Voorlinden, all the shops of the Bruna shops and via Collectclub.nl.
