Staff Aer Lingus arrested for human trafficking

The Irish immigratiepolitie has three men arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and membership of an “illegal international mensensmokkelnetwerk’.

The three men of 28, 56 and 61 years, were on Sunday night arrested. Two of them are working for Aer Lingus, reports the BBC. Aer Lingus has that the Uk broadcaster confirmed. The men would have assisted in the smuggling of people through the airport of Dublin.

A spokesman for Aer Lingus in a statement reported that the company was fully cooperating with the investigation by the Irish police. The police wanted no further comment on the investigation.
