Chicago authorities on Wednesday responded to a stabbing outside a terminal at Chicago O’hare International Airport.
A man was stabbed at Chicago’s O’hare International Airport early Wednesday morning.
The attack occurred after the two men calling for passengers for taxi rides got into an argument on the lower level to Terminal 5, the Chicago Sun Times reported.
Around 1: 20 p.m., one of the men, 57, grabbed a knife and stabbed the other man, 56, in the abdomen on the walkway of the terminal on the ground floor car park, the paper said.
The wounded man tried fighting off his attacker with a safety cone, according to police. The attacker was taken into police after a law enforcement officer working at the airport saw the fight and called for backup.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is listed in a stable condition.
No passengers or staff injured or involved or directed the attack. An investigation is underway.
