Spotify creates playlists based on the weather
Spotify has teamed up with the weather service AccuWeather playlists based on the weather in a metropolis.
The new service is called Climatune and is created out of a desire to see whether the weather has an influence on the choice of music, writes Spotify in a blog.
Therefore, the company has 85 billion streams linked to again – and location data from more than 900 cities around the world from AccuWeather as a way to gain insight into what people during what types of weather to listen to.
Which weather types are divided into six categories: sunshine, windy, cloudy, rainy, snow and clear nights.
