Spain wins again big fireworks festival Scheveningen
During the International fireworks festival in Scheveningen, the Spanish team the title of ‘most beautiful landenvuurwerk’ prolonged. The team from Valencia, which closed Saturday night, the 38th edition of the event.
The Belgian team was second. The netherlands finished in third place.
The jury watched the fireworks display from the terrace of the famous Kurhaushotel. Prior to the show from Spain was a minute of silence observed for the victims of the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils.
The fireworks went into the air, from a floating pontoon on almost 300 meters from the coast. Also there were performances, including drummer Cesar Zuiderwijk of Golden Earring.
The festival was last week Friday started. In total, there were four nights of shows. That took a total of about 330.000 visitors.
“Last year we had about 400,000 visitors, but then we had four nights of good weather. That was this year, significantly less,” said a spokeswoman for the International fireworks festival.
