South Carolina is the man $540 Girl Scout cookie on a cold day shock children: ‘I’ll take them all’

A group of girl Scouts selling cookies outside of a store in Greenville, South Carolina on Friday was pleasantly surprised when a man gave them $40 for seven subjects and told them to keep the change. But then he returned to the table with another jaw-dropping offer.

The man, who has not yet been identified, told the girls to “pack up [their] cookies” and go home.

“I take them all so y’all can get out of this cold,” he said with a grin.

Kayla Dillard, the cookie sales manager for Troop 1574, and the scouts were speechless after the man gave more than $540.

“We were in total shock,” Dillard recalled, Yahoo Lifestyle, and notes that he has bought at least seven different types of cookies, including the popular Thin Mints and Carmel deLites.

Dillard said that the girls scrambled for the calculation of the man in total, and collecting all the boxes together. Then, the mystery man paused to pose with two of the girls wearing Brownie uniforms.

The Greenville woman later took to Facebook to praise the man is a kind act, sharing the happy photo with her friends.

“What a great soul!!!!” she gushed in the caption.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the post has received nearly 10,000 shares and hundreds of comments applauding the man for his actions.

“What a great man, well done sir those girls will always remember,” a woman wrote.

“There is a God and kind souled peoples in America! Thanks, sir,” still an echo.

“That is just beautiful!!” a woman cried out.

A number of residents have been hard at work trying to get the name of the man, but Dillard said that his identity is still not confirmed.

“He said that he was the owner of several companies,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle. “We assume that he was going to give cookies away.”
