South African president Zuma dismisses minister of Finance
The South African president Jacob Zuma has wed night late minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan dismissed. That has the tv station eNCA published.
Zuma also wants the state secretary of Finance to replace, and later said with a statement.
The reasons of the dismissal are not clear. Various media report that the stagnant economy and the weakening currency of the country on the basis of the decision of Zuma would lie.
Gordhan is followed by Malusi Gigaba, made Zuma Thursday night known. Gigaba is minister of Home Affairs, who is heading going to perform is not clear.
There was in Johannesburg for some time speculated about the plans of Zuma for a reshuffle of his cabinet. News24 reported earlier in the day that nine ministers, including Gordhan, and six secretaries of state, their portfolio would lose.
The communist party (SACP), usually an ally of Zuma’s ANC, resisted against that. The opposition promised a vote of no confidence to serve as the would continue.
