The Swedish audio platform SoundCloud allows paying users as of Tuesday, their upload music to muziekstreamingdiensten such as Spotify, Apple’s Music and YouTube Music.
The option is part of the paid SoundCloud Pro-subscription, the company Tuesday announced.
The possibility of music to upload to streaming services also means that users can earn money on the number of times a song is played. SoundCloud says no commission to pay. The rights remain entirely with the user.
Only original music to streaming services will be uploaded. Classic work, white noise, podcasts and audiobooks are excluded from the possibility, know Engadget. May remixes, mash-ups and other types of music which the user is not originally the rights to manage, are not eligible for the program.
In addition to a SoundCloud Pro-subscription users in the Netherlands eighteen years of age to be eligible for the option.
