BARCELONA (Reuters) – Sony, the Japanese company that has fallen way behind its Korean and Chinese rivals in the smartphone sales race, is focused on responding to the film family tree with new devices with a 21:9 ratio screens, the dimensions that can be used to film blockbusters.
The company announced a new flagship, the Xperia A handset, which has a touch OLED screen that’s optimized with the help of the Bravia TV technology, and the ability to take pictures and record 4K video in a 21:9 ratio, at the Mobile World Congress on Monday.
