The parents in both Washington and Oregon are very upset at American Airlines, claiming the airline’s failure to report for a 13-hour delay on a flight from Charlotte, N. C., to Portland, ore., their children were to take place on Friday.

Kristie Hoyt, the mother of one of the unaccompanied minors returning home from a summer camp for children living with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis, as alleged, they had been in contact with the crew to find out what has happened to the flight, and that no-one got in touch with her.
“I’ve just spoken with your flight attendant #1 Bailey, flight number 1736 (the first raw and shouted to me, and handed the phone off) and she says that she is not aware of the policy for unaccompanied minors! This fee is paid to a child, ” she said, no one is specifically responsible for children,” Hoyt wrote on Facebook.

“First of all, it says that the flight has been delayed because the catering service is not provided. At the time of the. You must’ve grown up with our children. Then she proceeds to say that it is rubbish, the levels are too high and the maintenance is there to fix it. What’s wrong with you? If you are really in touch with the parents, and do what you need to do and keep track of your policy?,” the post concluded.
Hoyt said that the kids on the flight and were given a dinner, and they were not in a position to take their medications, because they need to have to take it with a meal. They also indicated that some of the children do not have access to their medication, which has been stored in a checked bag under the plane, KATU reported.

Kelly Phillips, one of the children on the flight, said that the group looked after each other when they are in a room, unaccompanied minors have to wait during the delay.
“One of the older kids, it’s hard for him to deal with a lot of stress,” she said, KATU reported. “It would have to be able to end up with a herd, if he is over-stressed. His seizure medication was in the cabin, we had it under the plane, so we were trying to get him to calm down.”

American Airlines, told Fox News in a statement that the flight experienced a mechanical delay that causes you to stay in Charlotte’s room.” The flight left for Portland on Saturday morning.
“We are in the process of reaching out to the families concerned, and sincerely apologize for this experience. We will review with our teams internally to understand how we can do better next time,” the statement read.
Hoyt does not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
