Soldier from Georgia killed when the vehicle rolls in Syria

ATLANTA – the U.S. military officials say a soldier from Georgia killed in a car accident in Syria.

The Ministry of Defence on Saturday said the 22-year-old Spc. Etienne J. Murphy died of injuries sustained in a “vehicle” rollover “incident” in Al-Hasakah, Syria, on Friday. No details were given.

The statement said Murphy was from Loganville, Georgia, about 30 miles (48 km) east of Atlanta.

Murphy was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment of Hunter Army Airfield near the coast of Georgia.
