Snap took cards-startup, Zenly about 213 million dollars
Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, in the second quarter of 2017 the startup, Zenly acquired for 213 million u.s. dollars (over 180 million).
This is evident from the 10-Q SEC document that Snap Friday published.
After Snapchat a map view that allows users to their location to share with friends, launched in June, there was already speculation that Snap Zenly had taken over. The functionality seemed to be greatly on the product of the startup. Snapchat confirmed the acquisition but not.
From the document shows that Snap 62.1 million dollars has been spent on two other acquisitions. It’s going to be part of company that creates software for social ads and a startup that has a “cloud-hosted platform that allows online content is developed.
Thursday, it was announced that Snapchat in the second quarter of this year, a lot has suffered a loss. The net loss amounted to 443 million dollars (376,3 million euro), compared to 116 million dollars a year earlier. Sales in the last three months amounted to 181 million dollars (153,7 million euros).
