Smart algorithm linking recipes to photos of food
Researchers from the American university MIT have developed an algorithm that a recipe can be found at a photo of food.
The scientists have their algorithm trained with over a million prescriptions and nearly a million photos, they write in a new paper (pdf).
With self-learning software algorithm can, that the name Recipe1M has gotten better and better recipes to link to photos. On the site Pic2Recipe internet users with their own photos to upload to the algorithm to test.
There also appears that there is still work to be done is for the scientists. Quite a lot of pictures to deliver no results, even if the photos are for a man to be easily identified.
In the HBO series Silicon Valley, recently got an app for diekon identify or on a picture of a hot dog was to be seen or not. This app, with the name ‘Not Dog’, appeared actually for Android and iOS, but not in the Netherlands.
