Move over small sunglasses! According to Simon Porte Jacquemus, it is all about ridiculously itsy-bitsy totes now.

The French designer, 28, who is Insta-famous for his viral jumbo sun hats and supersize straw bags, he made his debut in the Fall 2019 collection at Paris Fashion Week on Monday night, but it was his pre-show sneak preview of who stole fashionista’s heart.

The guests were delivered at their invitation, accompanied by a still smaller version of the label’s signature Le Saq Chiquito wallet, that is shrunk to fit in the palm of the hand.

Despite all the micro-bag-buzz beforehand, spectators seemed to overlook their catwalk debut as they were so microscopic and styled dangling from the model’s fingertips.

This OG top handle — that costs between € 345 and € 795 and will fit a credit card and lip gloss if you’re lucky — all bite of in the celeb clutches of Emily Ratajkowski, Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.

Despite all the micro-bag-buzz beforehand, spectators seemed to overlook their catwalk debut as they were so microscopic and styled dangling from the model’s fingertips.

“Uh, the new Jacquemus bags are so small that I was actually *not in the holes.* while watching the show,” said Dazed Digital Emma Hope Allwood on Twitter. (BTW: Dazed also declared the LE Saq a, “FUN, but also totally love.”)

“Jacquemus is essentially still the bag version of that Small Hat SNL-sketch,” according to the Fashionistas @eiffeltyler.

“In this small Jacquemus bag, you will see a blue pill and a red pill. The choice is yours,” says The Cut @EmiliaPetrarca.

The show itself, located in a warehouse on the outskirts of Paris, was transformed into an imitation of a Mediterranean village, inspired by Murano, Italy, with the brightly lit market stalls, stacking of organic products and flowers. Plus: Laundry hanging clotheslines was a nice touch.

The new collection, entitled La Collectionne, also recommended for a new round of the brand signature Provencal costume, such as airy fabric, body-hugging knitwear and of course relationship games.
