Mother of Payton Leutner write a victim impact letter to the judge as one of the two girls responsible for the attack is set to learn how long they will spend in a psychiatric hospital.
The mother of Wisconsin girl who survived a stabbing in 2014 by two of her classmates addressed to the fictional horror character “Slender Man”, said her daughter slept with scissors under her pillow after the brutal attack.
Stacie Leutner wrote in a victim impact statement that her daughter, Payton, was a different person after the brutal attack on May 31, 2014, FOX6 reported. Her classmates, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser lured Leutner into the woods at a park in the suburbs of Milwaukee Waukesha and attacked her. Researchers alleged Geyser stabbed Leutner 19 times while Weier urged her on.
Weier and Geyser told detectives she felt she had to kill Leutner to be Slender Man’s “proxy” or one of the servants, and their family to protect him.
Leutner survived the attack by crawling out of the forest, where she was found by a passing cyclist. All three girls were 12 years old at the time.

“Holidays are hard reminders that swimsuits are not made for young girls, with 25 scars,” Leutner wrote.
The mother wrote that her daughter’s emotional trauma would stay with her for a very long time.” Leutner said Payton would not speak with anyone other than her for months and was afraid to sleep in her own bed. However, the mother has her daughter recovered “remarkably quickly” and took part in various activities and made new friends. Leutner wrote the attack affected her marriage and her son, Caden, was also affected by the incident.
Leutner concluded the letter by saying that her family have no objections to plea offers for Geyser and Weier because she doesn’t want her daughter to testify again since she has not spoken about the attack. The mother also said Payton felt “placement in a psychiatric hospital was the best character for both the girls,” but the girl still feared for her safety.
On Thursday, Weier was sentenced to 25 years in a psychiatric facility — the maximum penalty possible.
The geyser will be sentenced in February.
