Skippers sprint to fastest season time in 200 meters at Lausanne

Dafne Schippers Thursday at the Diamond League in Lausanne in the 200 metres won. The Utrecht ran with 22,10 seconds, her best time of the season.

The 25-year-old Skippers left on the Swiss job côte d’ivoire Marie-Josée Ta Lou just behind him. Who finished in a time of 22,16 second. The American Kyra Jefferson came up with 22,34 as the third on the measure.

Francine Niyonsaba from Burundi triumphed in 1.56,82 minutes, followed by Charlene Lipsey in the United States (1.57,38) and Eunice Jepkoech Sum of Kenya (1.57,78).

Hassan made a foray into the 800 metres after three races in the 1500 meters, had dominated. The Dutch athlete won successively in Rome, Hengelo and Paris. With 3.56,14, she is the fastest in the world this year on her favorite distance.

WORLDS limit

Her time in Lausanne at the 800 metres meant her third world CHAMPIONSHIP limit. Also in the 5000 meters she conquered rather a starting place for the global title in London.

Liemarvin Bonevacia took it on the 400 metres. The Dutch winner of the bronze at the european CHAMPIONSHIPS, finished seventh in 45,61 and remained thus above the world cup limit of 45,50 seconds.
