Sky’s out, thighs out! Prepare yourself for a lot of guys in the Daisy Dukes this spring.

Legendary fashion houses Prada, Fendi, and Missoni, as well as labels, Off-White and Jacquemus, all debuted men’s short pants for Spring 2019. When describing her shorts-centric collection, Miuccia Prada even went so far as to describe the ultra-leggy pieces such as “miniskirts for men.”

And the actor has become fashionisto Jeff Goldblum is one of the first high-style guys to rock them off the runway.

He was recently seen wearing two different expensive Prada pairs — a $838 white sweater set and $792 daring denim look in Dazed magazine’s “The Meaning Of the Cult’ problem. It is worth noting that the inseams of these shorts are a teensy 1.6 cm and 2.4 cm, respectively, according to measurements on Matches Fashion.

It is clear, that the thigh-skimming trousers have caught the eyes of the people of fast fashion retailers ASOS and Urban Outfitters. Both companies sell teensie — and affordable — versions of their own.

Ah, anti-shorts sticklers may be repulsed by this micro trend, and to quote one of Tom Ford’s iconic fashion commandments: “A man should never wear shorts in the city,” the dapper designer said in 2011. “Shorts should only be worn on the tennis court or on the beach.”
