Marcel Hirscher has Monday for the first time in his rich career a parallelslalom won in the world cup. The Austrian father and Dutch mother brought his total number of victories in the world cup in 62.
Hirscher was Sunday in Alta Badia also already the fastest in the giant slalom. Monday he achieved his second victory in Italy. The Frenchman Thibaut Favrot finished second, his fellow countryman Alexis Pinturault was third.
With its 62 wereldbekerzeges get the 29-year-old Hirscher, the record of Ingemar Stenmark slowly but surely in sight. The legendary Swede has recorded in the seventies and eighties, no less than 86 wins.
Except Stenmark, is only Lindsey Vonn (82 victories) more successful than Hirscher. The American can the record of Stenmark by a lingering knee injury do not threaten.
Hirscher won this year, four of the eleven world cups. There are this winter, eighteen world cup races on the program.
