Former lead singer of the band Soul II Soul, Melissa Bell, Monday at the age of 53 died. That has her daughter, singer Alexandre Burke, Tuesday announced.
Burke shared via Twitter a statement, in which the four children of Bell “with the greatest grief” the death of their mother disclose. August 28, 2017 is a day that our lives will forever change.
The children should know “the unconditional love, support, charisma, strength, and courage” of Burke will never forget. “We are forever proud and grateful that we have her as our mother might call.”
Bell, who from 1993 to 1995, was part of the band Soul II Soul, and then solo went, already had years of kidney problems. Her daughter offered seven years ago to a kidney to her mother to donate, but she wanted nothing to know because of the surgery complications could result in women no longer can become pregnant.
Burke left Tuesday to know despite the death of her mother to take part in the British dance programme Strictly Come Dancing. “Mom was always my biggest fan and I know for sure that she had willed that I go through.”
