Singer Bob Fosko plays wanderer in GTST
Bob Fosko makes Monday soapdebuut in Good times, bad times. The singer of The ragging, groovy Men, the role of wanderer Nico Versteeg play, a former top executive to lower shore is hit.
Fosko realize that many eyebrows will frown upon hearing of his remarkable career switch. “Some people will indeed say: What does out of all people doing in a soap? But it is not so strange,” he said Friday in the AD.
“I play all my life, small and medium-sized roles. In musicals, but also in television series and films. From mainstream to crossover and arthouse. And I do all years of commercials, I don’t have the burden of imagovrees,” continues the 60-year-old singer, who directly says GTST for years to have followed. “I consider it also as an honour.”
The zwerversrol is in the first instance for five weeks. Fosko, however, has hope that his stay in the fictional Meerdijk will take longer. “Writing and recording are close to each other. There is a chance that the role will continue.”
