Singapore Airlines launches in October for the route Singapore-New York, a flight of 16.700 km. The connection will be the longest scheduled flight in the world.
Passengers who book a ticket, will be between the Southeast Asian city-state, and New York’s Newark airport about 18 hours and 45 minutes on the plane sit.
The current longest flight in the world is one of the Qatar Airways, between the Qatari capital Doha and the New Zealand city of Auckland. That takes 17 hours and 40 minutes for a distance of slightly more than 14,500 kilometers.
