Silver for Weavers in the first action after the Olympics
Gymnast Sanne Wevers has Saturday the silver caught on the bar in the world cup in Melbourne. It was her first competition on the balance beam since her gold medal in August at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The Dutch Sportswoman of the Year achieved a score of 14,500 with her exercise with many pirouetten. The gold was for Tingting Liu from China, resulting in a score of 14,766 were assigned.
Thursday brought Weavers the third score in the qualifications. Also when was Liu the best, while Huan Lao a score of 14,366 behind its name.
The 25-year-old Weavers tried in Melbourne a few new things out in her exercise. She is calm on the build up towards the european CHAMPIONSHIPS in april.
Weavers picked up in Rio, surprising the gold with her recordscore of 15,466. They troefde the American Simone Biles, who advance as almost unbeatable, but after an error pleased to take the bronze.
