In a statement from Missguided, the company has focused on the shoppers’ perspective and the claim of the suit was made from “the same high standards as the rest of the items.

“We have launched a £1 in a bikini as a promotional item to help celebrate 10 years of empowering women to look and feel good without breaking the bank,” reads a statement on the website of the company.
“It’s costing us more to produce than a £1 and we will have to absorb the cost, so that we are able to offer at an incredible price and as a gift to our customers.”
