Shocking video shows attempted a hit, son of Bonanno crime family associate

Video footage shows shooting victim Salvatore Zottola, 41, an attempt to escape a gunman.


The police released dramatic video footage of an attempt at a hit on the son of a reputed Bonanno crime family member in the Bronx, the sources said.

Shooting victim Salvatore Zottola, 41, could be seen desperately trying to escape as the shooter pulled up in a dark-colored Nissan sedan and starts opens fire on Wednesday, according to a video released by the police.

The shooter, who was in the passenger seat, exit the vehicle after firing a few pictures on Tierney Place in the near of Longstreet Avenue and chases Zottola, shooting him a total of three times before fleeing the scene.

Zottola can be seen rolling on the sidewalk in an attempt to avoid the bullets.

He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition, but survived.

Agents were searching for the gunman on Thursday night.
